The middle cottage of three, No. 2 Folly nestles at the base of Knock Fell looking out over farmland. Spectacular sunsets delight all year round. Enjoy a peaceful, relaxing holiday or combine this with local attractions full of history and information.


 
 
The centrepiece of the kitchen is a traditional Bread Oven, the fire grate is serviceable. Well equipped with an electric oven, microwave, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, toaster and coffee maker. Tastefully decorated it looks out to a furnished, shared garden. B.B.Q equipment supplied.

The lounge is warm and cosy with a Victorian fireplace, modern reclining furniture still gives you the feel of a country cottage. TV/Video, portable CD/cassette radio, books and games are provided.

Steep stairs lead to the bedrooms. The double bedroom is simply decorated and comfortable, a built in wardrobe gives ample storage space. The smaller bedroom at the rear has adult size bunkbeds, again simply decorated and comfortable.

Oil-fired central heating provides hot water at all times, there is a small airing cupboard, iron and ironing board. Solid fuel is provided for the fires, electric and heating is inclusive. For those that have no mobile phone there is a payphone in the cottage.

For those that have bikes a lock up shed hides behind a beech hedge at the top of the garden.

Parking is on road in front of the cottage, there is a small public car park a very short distance away, or alternatively parking can be arranged at the proprietors farm which is a refreshing 5 minute walk away.
